Well, let's see...I'm a 23-year-old Philly native. I graduated from Villanova University as a Computer Engineer, and I'm currently working for the US Navy. When I'm not building nuclear torpedos, I like to listen to music, party with my friends, and watch all my favorite Philadelphia sports teams.
There are two types of Pearl Jam fans. The first is the person who is a diehard Pearl Jam fan. They have most or all of their albums, and love seeing them in concert. This type of Pearl Jam fan accepts the b.s. that the band has released for its past couple of albums as good music, when in actuality most of the songs are the same or sound like crap. I feel bad for these people.
Then there are those of us who like Pearl Jam, the real Pearl Jam. These fans realize that Pearl Jam's first two albums are truly the only good ones, with Vitology on the fence. These fans may have seen Pearl Jam in concert, but they can not accept Pearl Jam's new style as good music. The diehard Pearl Jam fans, whom I feel sorry for, try to tell me that Pearl Jam plays the music that they want to play, and that this is their new style. Well, you know what? Musicians write music to express themselves, true, but when they decide that they are going to do what they want and basically ruin something that's not broken, they are spoiling something that everyone knows can be good. If you are still reading this, you either a) agree, b) think I'm an idiot or c) have nothing better to do with your time. :)~
